An oasis in a desert, golden fall colors highlight the alcove formed by Lower Calf Creek Falls.

Lower Calf Creek Falls is a 126-foot (38 m) waterfall reached by an easy hike on a 6 mile round trip on relatively flat terrain. The falls are located in the Calf Creek Recreation area in the Grand Staircase Escalate National Monument off scenic Utah Highway 12. This spot is special to me because my wife and I visited this spot on our first date.
